The Richard G. Lockwood Civic Center officially opened to the public in January 2001. This multi-use recreation facility offers the residents of Ogdensburg and the surrounding communities a large range of activities and events throughout the year.
Public and private skating is offered during our winter months. Ogdensburg Minor Hockey, Ogdensburg Figure Skating and the Ogdensburg Hockey League are major community organizations that rent ice time at the arena. Rock-N-Skates are also held once a month. Public Skating Fees: Residents - $1; Non-Residents - $2; Skate Rentals - $3; Children's Skating Pass - $15 / Adult Skating Pass - $35 (20 entries each - excludes Rock-N-Skates).
The Civic Center can be reserved
for ice/non-ice events by youth and adult groups, for special events (birthday parties, etc.) and for established events. Inquiries for use should be made at the Visitors' Center, 315-393-1980, and are subject to department approval.
The Ogdensburg Recreation Department also offers businesses the opportunity to purchase an advertising board
at the Civic Center.
